We were told to do a project with something we've had a lot of experience with. However, with this project I did something I am both comfortable with [cloning] and something I'm not so comfortable with [portraits.]
The 7 images I took were Haleigh's "7" different personalities.
1. "H" Sleepy: This photo is an example of the personality Haleigh has where she enjoys the habit of sleep, but don't we all?
2. "A" Musical : This shows Haleigh's interest and style when it comes to the beats that be playing. Or, music.
3. "L" Nerdy : This, personally, besides letter "G" of course, is the best side of Haleigh, her smart, awesome, "I know everything because I'm awesome," side.
4. "E" Artistic : (My favorite sweatshirt and our favorite hobbie.) This side is one that is the photography/theatre/writing side of Haleigh.
5. "I" Girly-ishish : Def the most universal side of her, I've never gone a day of hanging out with her without seeing this side.
6. "G" Crazy. : The "me" side of Haleigh. This is the side of Haleigh that I influence and that I am a part of. When we are together we are the craziest people I have ever seen.
7. "H" Masked Figure : The part of Haleigh that is unknown to the world around her and to the rest of the world besides her inner self. We all have our secrets. Side Note: This photo is suppose to be darker and have the dramatic lighting to represent the "dark" side or "secretive" side.
8. "Haleigh" All together : This is who Haleigh is. She is how and whom she's formed into through her life. I don't know what I would do without her and she is a great influence on my life. Perfect subject for a photography series.

Just to conclude this series, this is a video that Haleigh put together for Theatre, that her, herself, and I stare in. I shot the pictures and did the clone project. She did the rest. (Including the filming)

I really like the concept of this photo series because it's different. Usually when people do a photo series on a certain person, they capture them in different enviroments, but you did an awesome job at caputring different sides of one person in one single envrioment. I also think the idea of not having a totally white background, but rather the whole backdrop setup in the pictures added more depth to the pictures. Tying them all together as one final picture was a really good way to wrap up the series.
ReplyDeleteSadii: I really like the posing of these images. But I am quite mystified by the backdrop. I feel like it should either not be there, or taking up the whole scene. But still, I like these images. I love how they go together in the end. I was quite perplexed at the project, until I got to the end. Then I realized that these images all went together in the end... perfectly.
